I've moved!

I’ve moved my blog over to WordPress, leaving behind Blogger.  Just a matter of personal preference!  It shouldn’t affect you…if you put www.wifeandmommy.com into your browser, it should land you here.  But if you’re subscribed to a feed…you might have to update that (click here to subscribe!).
My friend Lisa will be prettying up my new [...]

When I grow up…

This evening, Cupcake spontaneously announced, “When I grow up, I’m going to be a mommy!”
“Aw, that’s great honey. You’ll be a wonderful mommy someday,” I replied, smiling as my heart warmed.
Bito considered this for a moment and then declared, “When I grow up, I’m going to be Darth Vader.”
Um, okay. What can [...]

Fun was had by all

Friday evening, I went to a party of DC Metro Moms contributors. The party was sponsored by Chevy and was held at Clyde’s of Tyson’s.
I was a bit nervous going to the party since I only knew one other person who would be there. But I put on my party face and kissed The [...]

I love that there is a security camera and screen visible upon entrance to the store, which entertains Bito and Cupcake while I strap BabyMuffin into the cart.

I love that your store has aisles wide enough for my kids to run up and down without disturbing (too many) other shoppers.

Win Win Win!

Remember the unexpected date The Husband I had back in May? It was so nice that I made it a priority to find a regular sitter whom we trust and like. Check! Now The Husband and I have a scheduled date night each month. It’s great to spend kid-free time together dining, or attending a [...]

I haven’t participated in the blog carnival hosted by Rocks in My Dryer for several weeks now, so I thought I’d give it a go today! This week’s carnival is The Kitchen Organization Edition. Who couldn’t use some ideas on how to keep the kitchen, the heart of the home, organized?
So here’s my [...]

Mentors

The Husband has started mentoring a twenty-something year old guy from our church. This fellow is right out of college and making his way in the real world. It’s pretty cool seeing life through the eyes of someone just beginning their journey as an adult. I’d forgotten the perspective and idealism a [...]
