I’m participating in a blog carnival called Works-For-Me-Wednesday. It’s hosted in Rocks In My Dryer’s blog.

This week’s contribution is a themed edition: Five Ingredients Or Less!

This is a yummy fruit dip, and it’s wonderfully refreshing with summer fruit (I am a fruit fiend, you should know). I think my kids might even like it!

Fruit Dip

1 (8 oz.) brick cream cheese
1 (7 oz.) jar marshmallow creme
1/8 tsp. ginger (can be omitted)
1 tsp. orange peel (can be omitted)

Bring cream cheese to room temperature. Mix all ingredients until smooth. Serve as dip with fresh fruit–especially good with strawberries, pears, and apples.

My MIL makes this all the time, and it is so good… quite addictive, in fact.

You just cannot go wrong with a recipe that includes marshmallow creme! Impossible. :-)

I love this dip! I’ve not made it with the ginger or orange, though. I’ll have to try it.

I also like mixing cream cheese with brown sugar…makes a caramelly dip. Great with apples!
