A bit of random thought on this Valentine’s Day. We’re not very big into the holiday, but it’s still noteworthy. The kids got a ton of cards and candy from their preschool friends, after all.
Cupcake has been very curious about marriage and babies recently. She’s been wondering who she’ll marry and when she’ll have a baby. Three years old and already looking ahead! Slow down and be my baby for awhile longer, kid. But there’s no stopping Cupcake when she gets something in her head. So The Husband and I decided to take this matter into our own hands and teach her a thing or two. Cupcake now recites, “Before I can get married, I have to get my education. Then I’ll find a godly man that Daddy likes. Then maybe I can get married. After I get married, I can have a baby!”
We figure it can’t hurt.
My prayer for my three kids is that they will all find lifelong Valentines as wonderful as The Husband is to me.
