Hilarious blogs!

I’ve recently been made aware of a few blogs that have me (and The Husband) crying with laughter. I thought I would share them here.

Cake Wrecks: When Professional Cakes Go Horribly, Hilariously Wrong

Oh. My. Who knew that there are so many cake mistakes out there? From typos to creative grammar to What the Heck Were They Thinking? cakes…these are side-splitting posts because of Jen the blogger’s witty comments. Here is one of my favorite posts of hers, in its entirety:

The Most Disturbing Cake EVER

Great burrowing baby bottoms, Batman!

Wow. Here’s a cake you could never photograph from the backside, eh? (Get it, “backside”?) Seriously, let’s count the ways in which this cake is oh-so-wrong, shall we?

1) There is a baby butt on it
2) There is no corresponding baby head to the baby butt
3) To be in this position, the baby would have to be buried alive inside the cake (aw, what a cute concept!)
4) Two lucky individuals are going to get to play “These Little Piggies” with their mouths
5) Did I mention there is a baby butt on it?

Thanks to Megge for providing the replacement pic!

Stuff Korean Moms Like

This blogger, Chiyo, has a great sense of humor as she pokes fun at her own Korean mother (thus getting a stank eye from her mom, no doubt!) and the things all Korean moms seem to like and do.

Admittedly, I have a Korean mother so I can relate to these posts quite well (sometimes too well!). However, it’s also given The Husband some perspective in understanding that his mother-in-law is not as crazy as he first though…she is, in fact, within the norm of Korean mothers! I feel vindicated (and protective of my mother) as we’ve read some of these posts together. He bursts out laughing when a post could be about my mother: hoarding and re-using bags, Corningware love, birthday mee-yuk-gook, love of straight A’s, etc. I am able to crow, “See?! It’s not just her!”

So go check ‘em out! And please feel free to leave me any suggestions for other blogs that you find rolling-on-the-floor funny. I love adding new blogs to my reader!
