Works for Me Wednesday is back this week and I am glad to have the opportunity to share this little gem!
Aunt Mommy from Live from Sublurbia gave me this idea when I recently despaired that summer was never-ending and what can I do to keep my children occupied for a couple more weeks until preschool began?
Here it is. It’s a good one I think!
Hide and Seek
Need:
- 1 big package of post it notes.
- 1 Marker
- Number the notes one to any number they can count to, or through the alphabet.
- Hide them in the house.
- Let the kids find them. Give them a time limit (10 minutes or so).
When they get older, you can write out big words like SUPERCALIFRAGILISTIEXPIALIDOCIOUS (SP?) on post its and have them “make new words” out of the letters of the word.
