Memory

I can recite all the phone numbers I’ve ever had.

I still know Avogadro’s Number and how to use it.

I know my states and capitals.

I can remember conversations with people, even many years later.

But…

I forget the details of books and movies with remarkable speed.

My closest family and friends know not to send me to find something since I won’t see it even if it’s right in front of my face.

I have a gift for buying things that I already own.

I once misplaced a table in my own house (it was underneath the microwave the entire time).

I wonder which side of my brain will process the memories of my children’s lives?

I’m so afraid of forgetting the sweetness  someday.

6.02 x 10^23! I could have written this post myself; I’m always amused (and annoyed) by the random things that stick in my head… and the ones that get lost.

    That’s what blogs are for!

I agree with KC. That is a big reason I blog.

Also, losing a table? So damn funny.

  4. Just wish I could remember all the things I forgot . . . or is it forget all the things I remember?
