Snow day

It’s snowing here!

I am not a student nor a teacher in public schools anymore, but I still get giddy when it snows enough to close schools!

The county has already called school off for tomrorow, so no preschool.  The kids will be excited to wake up to the world blanketed in white.  We’re going ot make the most of it.

A ginormous turkey will be roasted (Harris Teeter had them on sale a few weeks back), and I’ll do a bunch of trimmings to go with it.  Bito, Cupcake and I will bake some blueberry muffins since they’re totally into those these days.

Of course, there will undoubtedly be lots of fun in the snow as well:  shoveling, snowmen, angels, snowballs, and sledding.  Once we come inside, we’ll enjoy warm mugs of hot chocolate and then settle on the living room floor to play games, do puzzles and color.

Okay, maybe this is how I am envisioning it and I hope it’s how it actually goes.  I’d be sad if it were a day of Chef-Boyardee, screaming, fighting and tears.  Please don’t let it be like that.

  1. Sounds like a great snow day to me. Can I come over? We’ll probably be having ramen noodles. It does look pretty but I really just want spring.

Our snow was a pitiful dusting. Our girls had no interest in going out to play in it. Imagine that! I guess they had the real deal in MI and couldn’t be bothered with a dusting here.

Hope your snow day was wonderful!!
