Thanks for asking

So Bito’s first day of kindergarten went off smoothly.

He was cheerful as he went in to the classroom and never looked back.

I was patting myself on the back for preparing him so well for the transition to Big Kid School.

The second day…not so much.

Apparently we’d focused so much on getting him ready for the first day that we neglected to inform him of the days to come.

And so he screamed on his way into the school on the second day.

Screamed.  I could hear him from the playground behind the building.
(To be fair, his classroom is the one closest to the playground.)

Oy.

We quickly recognized the error of our ways and began talking about the rest of the days.

Today, the third day, he resumed his cheerful attitude.

Guess my preparation for school needed to be expanded!

  1. Aww. That is cute and wouldn’t it be nice if we could pick and choose when we wanted to go to school, work etc? I am glad his cheery self returned.

  2. So sorry to hear that day 2 didn’t go well but am happy that day 3 was just like the first! Here’s to many more happy days at school!

He thought it was a one time thing, too funny!

My nephew did that too! Upon being informed it was time to get ready for school on day 2, he exclaimed in an aggrieved tone, “AGAIN??!!”

Poor guy. He was probably all proud of himself that he’d made it through school. :) Glad he’s back on board the happy train.

    That’s so cute!

  7. We’re taking it day by day here to with Kindergarten too. My son has been loving it, but last night before bed he said the day is too long-
I think the change of schedule is catching up with him.
