Since this is a public blog, I’m not so inclined to use our real names. There’s just something squidgy about having the details of my life out there without at least making an attempt to hide who we are.
It would become cumbersome for me to refer to everyone as, “My husband” or “My older/younger son” or “My daughter” or even “the dog.”
I could use the commonly used abbreviations of, “DH” and “DS1″ and “DS2″ and “DD.” Just seems a little too impersonal, though.
I guess I could come up with fake names for everyone? That requires brain cells to keep everyone straight, though…and I most certainly have a lack of spare brain cells!
So what to do what to do? Must think on this.
For now, let me just introduce the family:
Me/Mommy, mid-thirties
Husband/Daddy, early forties
Oldest kid/son, age 4
Middle kid/only daughter, age 2
Youngest kid/baby son, under 1
