Remember the unexpected date The Husband I had back in May? It was so nice that I made it a priority to find a regular sitter whom we trust and like. Check! Now The Husband and I have a scheduled date night each month. It’s great to spend kid-free time together dining, or attending a party, or just running a few errands at an unhurried pace.
I admit it’s painful forking over the wad of cash to the sitter I found, but I figure the investment The Husband and I are making in our relationship is well worth the monetary cost. At least that’s what I keep telling myself.
It also helps that the kids adore our sitter. We don’t even tell Bito and Cupcake that she’s coming over until ten minutes before she arrives–otherwise there would be endless pestering! The moment she steps through the door, Bito and Cupcake anxiously say to us, “Bye-bye Mommy! Bye-bye Daddy!” Translation: GET OUT. Well. Okay. Feel the love from our offspring!
So it’s works well for everyone involved! Love it when things happen like that.
